Qatar Airways Announces Expansion to Bukhara and Samarkand

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Qatar Airways has revealed plans to launch flights to Bukhara and Samarkand, expanding its route network into Uzbekistan. This announcement was made by Marwan Koleilat, Senior Vice President of the Eastern Region of Qatar Airways.

Speaking on the company’s latest developments, Koleilat highlighted that Tashkent has recently been added as a new destination. “We are confident that this new route will not only strengthen ties between Qatar and Uzbekistan, but will also open doors for business, tourism, and cultural exchange,” he stated.

Qatar Airways has commenced passenger flights on the Doha-Tashkent-Doha route, operating four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A320 aircraft.

Koleilat also mentioned the airline’s future plans to potentially increase the frequency of flights to Tashkent to seven per week. Furthermore, Qatar Airways is exploring the possibility of launching flights to the historic cities of Bukhara and Samarkand.

The inaugural flight from Doha to Tashkent was completed today, with a flight duration of three hours.

Qatar Airways, the national carrier of Qatar, is headquartered in Doha and operates flights to over 170 destinations worldwide. Renowned for its high standards of service, the airline has been awarded the title of “World’s Best Airline” by Skytrax seven times.
