Qatar participates in Consultative Ministerial Meeting in Jeddah
Jeddah, The Gulf Observer: Qatar participated in the Consultative Ministerial Meeting of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Iraq in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, yesterday.
The Qatari delegation was headed by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues and developments in the region.
The centrality of the Palestinian cause and its priority were emphasised, and the illegal Israeli practices that undermine the two-state solution, in addition to the Israeli attacks on the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque, and the violation of the sanctity of the holy places were condemned. They also exchanged views on the efforts made to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis that would put an end to the suffering of the Syrian people, address all its repercussions, and preserve the unity of the Syrians.
