KSrelief Signs Agreements to Provide Water Solutions in Nigeria and Mali
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed agreements with authorities in Nigeria and Mali to enhance access to clean water in local communities, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
In Nigeria, the initiative involves the drilling of 21 medium-depth solar-powered wells across several states, including Abuja, Enugu, Kano, Osun, Oyo, and Kaduna. This project is anticipated to benefit approximately 105,000 people, providing not only drinking water but also water for livestock, addressing a critical need in these regions.
In Mali, KSrelief will facilitate access to drinking water for an estimated 372,304 people through the creation of multiple solar-powered wells. This initiative is expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents in affected areas by ensuring a reliable source of clean water.
These water provision projects are part of KSrelief’s broader mission to deliver humanitarian aid across the globe. The organization’s efforts span a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, and sanitation, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities worldwide.
