President Ilham Aliyev and Turkmen Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Visit Caspian Sea Breeze Resort

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Sea Breeze resort on the Caspian Sea coast on July 16 as part of Berdimuhamedov’s official visit to Azerbaijan.

During the visit, Emin Agalarov, founder of the Sea Breeze resort, presented an overview of the completed developments and upcoming projects at the site. Located just 30 minutes from central Baku, Sea Breeze is recognized as a globally unique project that integrates various real estate offerings along the Caspian coastline.

Covering an area of 500 hectares, the resort has already delivered over 3 million square meters of residential and commercial real estate. More than 500 properties have been constructed, currently housing over 20,000 residents. By 2028, the number of residents is expected to exceed 50,000, with a long-term development vision targeting a population of up to 500,000.

A key highlight of the future expansion plans includes the creation of a crescent-shaped artificial peninsula covering 50 hectares. Additionally, over 150 hectares have been allocated for recreational spaces, parks, and beaches to promote leisure and environmental harmony.

The resort is supported by essential infrastructure, including a school, kindergarten, and hospital, aimed at providing a comfortable living environment for residents and visitors. Extensive landscaping efforts have led to the planting of approximately 10 million trees and plants, expanding green zones to 300 hectares.

Sea Breeze currently employs 6,560 people, with plans for significant staff expansion in the coming years. Total investment in the project has reached $3 billion, with over $10 billion in additional investments projected over the next five years.

The visit underscored the significance of large-scale tourism and real estate development in the region, further highlighting the potential for bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in economic and infrastructure sectors.
