Saudi Arabia and Italy Call for Immediate End to Gaza War and Full Humanitarian Access

Rome, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia and Italy on Thursday issued a joint declaration urging an immediate end to the war in Gaza, the release of all hostages, and full humanitarian access to Palestinian territories.
The statement, released by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscored the two countries’ shared commitment to achieving a just, secure, comprehensive, and sustainable peace in the Middle East.
Both foreign ministers condemned unilateral and violent actions in the West Bank that could undermine prospects for a two-state solution. They also called for unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and life-saving supplies into Gaza, along with the release of withheld Palestinian clearance revenues.
The declaration firmly rejected any displacement of Palestinians “under any pretext,” emphasizing that the principles of non-transfer and non-expulsion must be fully upheld.
The two nations stressed that any post-war arrangements must be tied to a clear and time-bound political process aimed at ending the occupation and securing a just and comprehensive peace.
The statement further noted that Saudi Arabia and Italy would explore practical avenues of cooperation to strengthen the Palestinian Authority, within the framework of the two-state solution, with the ultimate goal of advancing lasting peace.
