Sharjah Ramadan Majlis 2025 Highlights Industrial Future and Economic Growth

Sharjah, The Gulf Observer: The Sharjah Ramadan Majlis 2025 convened on Thursday in Mleiha, focusing on Sharjah’s industrial future and its impact on regional and local economic growth, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
Held under the theme “Sharjah: Shaping the Future, Empowering Growth”, the event saw the presence of distinguished figures including Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of American University of Sharjah; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and Sheikh Fahim Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah.
In her welcoming address, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi highlighted the importance of integrating innovation with sustainability, stating that the Majlis serves as a dynamic space for dialogue aimed at fostering inclusive growth while honoring Sharjah’s heritage.
This year’s Majlis was organized by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), and the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park). It brought together senior government officials from the UAE’s Ministry of Economy (MoE), Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), and the Sharjah Economic Integration Committee, alongside leaders from various sectors.
The event featured the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship, including agreements between Invest in Sharjah and SRTI Park, Sheraa and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), and Invest in Sharjah and Alef Group.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi emphasized the UAE’s growing global economic status, highlighting that CEPA agreements are unlocking new opportunities for Sharjah’s manufacturers, enabling them to access emerging markets and strengthen global trade networks.
Sharjah currently accounts for 35% of the UAE’s total industrial output, underscoring its pivotal role in driving national industrial growth and competitiveness.
