Bulgaria Wins Eurovision 2026 with DARA’s “Bangaranga”

Vienna, The Gulf Observer: Bulgaria secured its first-ever victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 as singer DARA triumphed with her hit song “Bangaranga” during the grand final held at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle.
The landmark victory came during the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, marking a historic moment for Bulgaria, which had returned to the competition in 2026 after a three-year absence between 2023 and 2025.
DARA’s energetic performance earned a total of 516 points, including 204 points from the professional juries and an impressive 312 points from the public televote. The song topped both the jury and public voting, marking the first time in nearly a decade that both groups selected the same winner, a feat last achieved at the 2017 contest in Kyiv.
“Bangaranga” also recorded the largest winning margin in Eurovision history, finishing 173 points ahead of the runner-up and surpassing the previous record set by Alexander Rybak with “Fairytale” at the 2009 contest in Moscow.
Israel finished in second place with “Michelle” performed by Noam Bettan, while Romania claimed third place through Alexandra Căpitănescu and the song “Choke Me,” marking a strong comeback for another returning nation.
Australia and Italy completed the Top 5 rankings in fourth and fifth place respectively.
The contest was hosted by Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski, who announced the final results before a global television audience and thousands of fans gathered in Vienna.
